On our purchase screen, you may notice that we advertise Dropbox integration. Here is everything you need to know about Dropbox and Mobile Learn.
What is Dropbox?
Dropbox is a service (not created by or in any way affiliated with Blackboard) that allows you to store your files online and access them from any of your devices. Because Dropbox already does an awesome job of making uploading and downloading files easy for students, we felt that utilizing Dropbox to expand Mobile Learn's file management system was a natural choice.
What does Dropbox cost?
You can choose to use Dropbox for free or purchase extra storage space depending on your needs. Check out this Dropbox pricing site for all the info. We recommend users start with the free storage plan. It provides 2gb of storage and that is plenty of space to work with Mobile Learn. Dropbox offers ways to to increase that storage up to 18gb while remaining free.
Do I have to use Dropbox?
Downloading Dropbox is not required before you can use Mobile Learn. Users will still be able to use their device's native upload mechanism (on iOS devices this means only photos and videos can be uploaded). Please note, however, that we here at Blackboard Mobile believe Dropbox offers the best option to upload and download files in the Mobile Learn app.
Dropbox is the first file management system we've decided to integrate into our app. We are always looking for others to use in the future. If you have any preferred services contact our Support Team and let us know
